Lunada
Location: 25 David Ha-Re'uveni Street, Beersheba.
It is a children's interactive museum named after Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel. Its purpose is to encourage multi-age family entertainment by learning through playing. The museum is intended for children from the age of one and a half to the age of twelve, and their parents.
This is the first multi-age museum designed to provide a unique experience for the whole family. The museum deals with subjects from everyday life and includes educational units that involve motor skills, brain teasers and emotions.
The museum has three floors, with a total area of 4,000 square meters. It offers more than 50 activities in eight different areas divided by themes related to science, human body and nature. On the first floor, there is an area where you can learn about the Earth and space.
The station includes a labyrinth and a control tower, and represents a world-wide knowledge of the solar system and gravity. On the top floor, there is an art and music arcade where children learn about computerized art and special sounds. On the bottom floor, there is a theater complex with a stage, changing lighting and a variety of costumes. The photography equipment allows to film a child acting, direct and produce different scenes.
Opening hours: Sunday: 09:00-13:00, Monday-Thursday: 09:00-13:00, on Friday it is closed and on Saturday: 09: 30-18:00. Entrance to the museum is without shoes. Children up to the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
