Carasso Science Park
Carasso Science Park is the largest science park in Israel. Carasso Science Park is located at 79 Ha'azmaut Street in the city of Beersheba. It includes an interactive museum and a scientific garden with games and hands-on activities for all ages. The park offers ten interactive exhibitions in various fields of Science including: genetics, communication, microelectronics, nuclear energy and so on. All in all, there are hundreds of technological and scientific games and exhibits there. Carasso Science Park offers children and adults, groups and individuals, challenging, fun and interactive activities. Every Thursday, the Carasso Museum invites the whole family to a family run for all ages.
Carasso Science Park was established by the Rashi Foundation, the Beersheba Municipality and the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Mifal Hapayis and the Carasso Family. The park was opened in July 2013 on a campus that includes the nearby Beit Yatziv and bears the name of the founder of the Rashi Foundation, Gustave Leven. The park contains a number of buildings from several periods; the Ottoman period, the Mandatory period and the state period. The park is located on the city's avenue of museums and its architectural character gives it a unique look that connects the past, the present and the future. Part of the park is located in the building of the Bedouin Children's School, which was established in 1914.
