Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is one of the leading research universities both in Israel and in the world.
The university has about 20,000 students and bout 4,000 faculty members are studying and working in Engineering Faculties; Health Science; Natural Sciences; Pinhas Sapir Humanities and Social Sciences, Gilford Glazer Management; The Joyce and Irving Goldman School of Medicine, the Kreitman Graduate School of Advanced Studies, and the Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies. More than100,000 university graduates are playing important roles in research and development, industry, health, economics, society, culture and education in Israel.
The university has three main campuses: the Marcus Campus in Beersheba, the Sde Boker campus and a campus in Eilat. Ben-Gurion University of the Negev was established in 1969 and has been known under its current name since 1974.
The Ben-Gurion University of the Negev motto is "Negev will examine the scientific and research capacities of the people of Israel."
